In the first quarter of 2008 Škoda Auto Group has produced 173,5 thousand cars which represents the largest volume ever. The Strong crown decelerates its economic growth.

The Annual Report issued this year, i.e., the one for 2007, is thus marking an important anniversary of the existence of the Czech Republic's largest car manufacturer.

For the sixteenth time in a row, Škoda Auto is the official main sponsor of IIHF World Championships. The 2008 event is taking place in Canada, starting on May 2. The official fleet is made up of 45 Škoda vehicles.

On Wednesday, April 23, the two millionth Škoda Fabia was produced in Mladá Boleslav. The vehicle marking the two-millionth threshold for Škoda's smallest model is a Satin grey metallic Fabia Combi Sport 1.4 16V 63 kW.

Škoda Auto presents altogether 10 vehicles of three model lines at China's most important motor show. The company is going to launch the new Fabia in the Chinese market this year.

The first serially manufactured Superb rolls of the production line. Today Škoda Auto launched the serial production of the new generation Superb at its plant in Kvasiny.

The new Škoda Superb was certainly not lost amongst the novelties on view at Geneva this year. Its world premiere was very successful, which is why we are returning to several observations and photographs.

Škoda Auto maintained its firm position in all key markets worldwide in the previous month. The company sold 52,916 vehicles in February. The best-selling model is still the Octavia.
