Škoda is Official Partner of the president meeting

Škoda Auto has become the Official Partner and the Official Vehicle of the 14th meeting of presidents of Central European countries.

Altogether 21 black Škoda Superb limousines (Elegance equipment level, 2.5l V6 TDI engine) are going to become part of the official presidential convoy.

The fleet provided for the purposes of the said official event is another example of cooperation between Škoda Auto and the Prague Castle Administration. Having a further thirteen Škoda Superbs covering the routine transport needs of the President's Office, the Prague Castle Administration has extensive experience of using the limousines.
 
The summit to take place over May 24–26, 2007 in Brno, is going to be attended by presidents of Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia and the Ukraine.

Škoda Auto's results as at the end of the first quarter of 2008 are excellent. The sales over the past three months totalled 173,474 vehicles, i.e., grew by 15.7% as compared to the same period of last year.

Škoda Auto delivered altogether 630,032 vehicles to its customers in all its markets worldwide in 2007. The figure is by 14.5% higher than that reached over the previous year and is the Company's best ever sales result.

The project objective is to map out the behaviour of vehicles in real road accidents and make use of the survey findings to further enhance the already existing cars, as well as vehicles whose development is underway.
