Cycling


Support for cycling is one of our most important sponsorship activities. In 2004 we became an official partner of the famous Tour de France and also a member of the prestigious club of the same name together with Crédit Lyonnais, Supermarché CHAMPION, Nestlé Aquarel and others. As a part of the partnership we provide the Tour with a large fleet of more than 200 Škoda cars. Sponsorship of the white jersey for the best rider under 25 is an integral part of the partnership with the Tour.

After the Olympics and the World Cup the Tour de France is the third most watched event in the world of sport – the race is watched by 15 million viewers on the track and by two billion more in
up to 170 countries on television. This viewer interest precisely corresponds to our ambitions.

We also help cycling teams with technical and organisational matters during the Pro Tour series
(a total of 27 races including the Giro d’Italia and the Vuelta a Espana). Since 2005 we have been
a partner of the International Cycling Union (UCI). Neither do we forget Czech national teams – for example we sponsor the national cyclo-cross team.
