Only in the Czech Republic Škoda Auto employed more than 23 500 core employees. With an almost 7.5% share of exports, it defended its first place among exporters in the Czech Republic; a key role is also played by 265 Czech subcontractors that supply components and services. Škoda Auto became the fourth largest corporate income tax payer in the Czech Republic in 2006.

In 2007, the company accepted the relevant recommendations and rules of the Corporate Administration and Management Code, by which it declared its compliance with the proper practice of Corporate Governance, and adopted a Code of Conduct that sets out the principles of behaviour of Škoda Auto employees based on the application of the company’s values and the generally recognised ethical standards.

The company’s high transparency also entails the publication of quality annual reports, regular reporting of economic results and an independent audit.

The dynamic development of Škoda Auto, its successful expansion onto world markets and the quality of products offered is based on close consumer-supplier relations that the company is building through its long-term partnership and intensive co-operation on the development and innovation of new products.
