The only thing we dared to decide for you

One of the basic requirements for a car is "everything for safety". Feeling safe means being surrounded not only by people, but also by things that we can have confidence in and that can be relied upon. This includes cars.

The Octavia is therefore equipped with many modern active and passive safety elements. Your safety is always our priority.
The Octavia is fitted as standard with airbags for the driver and front passenger, which can be deactivated in the event a child seat is fitted. The sides of the front seats also contain airbags and, if you want to maximise your feeling of safety, we also recommend head airbags, which cover the side windows from the front to the rear column and protect passengers in the front and back.

What does ESP, ABS, etc. mean? Primarily they give you certainty and controllability of the car when driving on a slippery surface and in critical situations. The electronic systems ABS, MBA braking assistant, EBV and ASR anti-slip are standard, but the ESP stabilisation system is the king. The hill start addition is also a clever accessory and with it your car will not roll back even a millimetre.

The ISOFIX system enables child seats to be fixed directly to the body and represents the highest degree of safety currently available. It is supplied as standard in the Octavia for child safety on the back seats. The front passenger seat can also be fitted with it if you wish.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring
TPM monitors the tyre pressure. It can assess the ratio of revolutions by a wheel in relation to the other tyres using data from ABS sensors. And what happens if revolutions by one wheel change due to a fall in the tyre pressure? Stay calm, a light will light up on the dashboard and warn you in time.
Enough light
The front lights are like the car’s eyes, thanks to which you will always see and be seen on the road. If you wish, we can fit xenon headlights with dynamic angle regulation. They stand out thanks to their high luminance and highlight the car’s attractive appearance.
Light Assistant
The Light Assistant contains several useful helpers, such as the well-known “Coming Home”, enhanced with the option of lighting the way when coming to the car (“Leaving Home”), as well as the “Tunnel Light” function (the lights come on automatically when there is a fall in the intensity of outside light), and also an automatic “Day Light” function.
Aero-windscreen wipers
A single spring wiper applies constant, equal pressure on the windscreen, thereby ensuring equal wiping throughout its length. Co-operation with the rain sensor is prefect and it turns the wipers on and controls their speed depending on the intensity of the rain. Even in bad weather you can be sure of a great view from your car.
