Room for life

Thanks to its non-traditional design the Roomster can provide the comfort and space of an MPV, but also retains its compact external dimensions. It’s not a van for carrying people, but a car possessing everything that goes with it.

Petrol engines
The basic drive unit for the Roomster is a 1.2 HTP/51 kW engine. Those who desire greater dynamism, but with good consumption and for a good price, will certainly go for the 1.4 16V/63 kW or 1.6 16V engines with a power output of 77 kW (105 hp).
Diesel engines
You can choose from a range of diesel engines. A pair of 1.4 TDI PD turbodiesels provides a power output of 51 kW or 59 kW. The top of the range is the 1.9 TDI PD/77 kW engine. The 59 kW and 77 kW versions are also offered with DPF – filters for diesel particulate in exhaust gases.
Manual gearboxes
All the engines on offer are combined with one of two types of manual five-speed gearbox. They are both characterised by precise and easy operation with short gear stick lines. Almost no noise or vibration gets inside from the engine.
Automatic gearbox
If you choose the most powerful 1.6 16V/77 kW petrol engine, you can enjoy the comfort of automatic gear changes. The Six-speed gearbox will be happy to do the work for you, but, if you want, the Tiptronic system will also enable manual operation.
