Roomster Family Tour ends successfully
7/26/2007
Gerhard Plattner spent only EUR 752 for fuel on his four-week trip with Roomster.

Having done 15,520 kilometres in altogether 35 European countries with a Škoda Roomster (1.4 TDI 59kW), the low-consumption world champion Gerhard Plattner arrived in Mladá Boleslav, the final destination of the “Roomster Family Tour“.

Plattner spent only EUR 752 for fuel on his four-week trip. With an average speed of 78 km/h, the average consumption of the fully-loaded Roomster was 4.5 litres/100 kilometres. Plattner has managed to save EUR 248 of the EUR 1,000 he had received at the start.

Gerhard Plattner has shown clearly that even a fully-loaded Roomster (loaded with real-weight dummies) can have low consumption and does not have to be an obstacle to road traffic. Plattner needed a repair only once on his trip around Europe – near Rome, the windscreen got hit by a flyaway stone and had to be replaced.
