A safe life

Your car carries not only shopping and luggage, but also your nearest and dearest, so our designers have defined security as a priority.

In addition to the front and side airbags for the driver and passenger, the Roomster has other important safety elements, including the modern electronic systems or headlamps and fog lamps.
The driver’s and passenger’s airbags belong, together with the side airbags to the basic equipment for all versions of the Roomster. You will need to deactivate the passenger’s airbag when you carry a child in a car seat on the front passenger’s seat. And if you don’t want to leave anything to chance, you will certainly decide to have head airbags which, in the event of an accident, cover the whole side of the car. Passengers in the front and the back are also protected. And don’t forget! Airbags are most effective when the passengers are wearing seatbelts.

Modern electronic systems also contribute to your safety during travel. Depending on the version you choose, the Roomster is equipped with ABS, MSR and Dual Rate, as well as optional ASR. ESP stabilisation electronics gives you certainty when cornering in all circumstances. It also contains the other systems mentioned.
Fog lights with “corner” functionality
Active headlights with “corner” functionality will recognise your intention to turn and slowly shine a fog light in the direction of the manoeuvre; it will then light up the road up to an angle of 60°! This makes turning safer, in particular from the viewpoint of possible collisions with unlit objects, pedestrians and cyclists.
Parking sensors
You can save yourself lots of nerve-wracking moments parking in streets filled to bursting by using four ultrasound sensors in the rear bumper. They keep monitoring the distance between the car and the nearest obstacle; an acoustic signal will draw your attention to the risk of a collision.
Measuring tyre pressure
Drive more safely; order a TPM system for measuring the pressure in your tyres. TPM constantly assesses the ratio of a wheel’s revolutions in relation to the other tyres. A control light on the dashboard draws your attention to changes to the revolutions of one wheel, and therefore to a fall in tyre pressure.
Rear lights
The vertical arrangement of the rear end lights will help make the car more visible and therefore the driver and passengers safer. The rear lights are also a significant unifying design element for the Škoda brand. When driving at night a characteristic “C” can be seen shining brightly in the middle of them.
