Motor sport has had a fixed place in the history of the Škoda brand for more than a hundred years. It is a great challenge for the head of the Škoda Auto motor sport department, Michal Hrabánek, to ensure this tradition continues successfully.

The main task for the team, in addition to building a future strategy for Škoda brand activities in motor sport, is, in particular, to develop the new car for motor racing. The new competition car Fabia Super 2000 will continue the famous and successful tradition of Škoda Auto motor sport. The studies were presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2007.

The CRT team of Jan Kopecký devolved Fabia WRC and the necessary set of spare parts. Thereby Škoda Auto definitely closed the chapture of WRC racing cars.
