Škoda Auto to present new Yeti model at Geneva
2/13/2009
Škoda Auto company will present, besides Fabia Scout, Octavia GreenLine and EMO concepts, the upcoming Yeti model at this year's 79th International Motor Show in Geneva.

The new Yeti model is based on the previously introduced design study of the same name. This trendy car is destined both for urban driving and leisure time and comes with state-of-the-art technologies that ensure not only excellent behavior on the road, but also great riding qualities off-road. Full blooded SUV represents smart and practical solution for customers who want a compact, while robust, universal and ultimately safe car.

Another product to receive a world premiere in Geneva is the Octavia GreenLine, a new member of the family of environmentally-oriented cars. This environmentally-friendly car has the fuel consumption of 4,4l/100 km and CO2 emission values of 116g/km while retaining great riding qualities. Octavia GreenLine engines follow current trends - downsizing and common rail technology. A brand-new 1.6 TDI CR engine, delivering 77 kW, provides the driver with a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1900 rpm and employs a standard-equipped diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Furthermore, a follow-up in the Scout series is going to be introduced at Škoda’s presentation – the Fabia Scout model. Visitors will be able to admire the S2000 special racing model that proved itself successfully at the Monte Carlo Rally and laid foundations to a new era of the Škoda motosport.

Škoda Auto is going to present also the so-called EMO concepts, design studies of Škoda cars orientated towards emotional expression of cars and the brand. These concepts will introduce the current design style of the company that stresses out not only functionality, but also enjoyment of life and a clear-cut style. The studies, focusing both on car interior and bodies, demonstrate the potential and craft of Škoda designers.

The Škoda Auto company presentation will be located at the Geneva Motor Show in Hall 2, stand 2160.
The Škoda Auto press conference will take place on March 3, 2009 at 8.45 at the Škoda Auto stand.
