1/19/2010
The Monte Carlo Rally 2010 started with an 8.83 km long prologue, which took drivers to a height of 1,140m above sea-level and was mostly run on snow and ice.

The prologue also determined in what order the first ten crews would start the track of the legendary rally’s first stage. The starting order is from tenth to first, which means that Hänninen and Markkula will start fifth, Kopecký and Starý eighth and Vouilloz-Veillas ninth.

The start for the first speed trial, which is 27.27km, is at 11:51 a.m. and the longest speed trial in this year’s Monte Carlo Rally, which is 45.17 km, begins at 12:59 p.m. The crews will do both these speed trials twice.
