Großen Österreichischen Automobil-Preis 2008

The new ŠKODA Superb received the Großen Österreichischen Automobil-Preis organised every year by ARBÖ. Combining the convenience and usefulness of a lift-back with the elegance of a sedan, the ŠKODA Superb won the "Medium" category.

Golden Steering Wheel 2008

The new ŠKODA Superb won the Golden Steering Wheel 2008 award, organised by the German-based magazine Bild am Sonntag.  The car came top amongst new medium class vehicles i.a. for its elegant looks, well-balanced proportions and innovative technologies such as the TwinDoor system, 9 airbags including a knee one for the driver, AFS, etc.

Another awards for the Superb in 2008

The new ŠKODA Superb won the 2008 Technobest, awarded by the Automotive  Journalists Club in the Czech Republic for the TwinDoor system. It became the Most Beautiful Car in Poland, the Best Company Car in Croatia, the Car of the Year 2008 in Latvia and the Company Vehicle of the Year 2008 in Germany. In Russland the car received the Golden Horn 2008 award.

Best Cars 2008

After winning the Small car category at the first readers vote, ŠKODA Fabia became the absolute winner in its class of the Best Cars 2008 award organised by the Auto Motor und Sport magazine. ŠKODA Superb won the Upper medium class.

Awards for the Octavia in 2008

ŠKODA Octavia Scout won the comparative test of the What Car magazine. Octavia Combi became the Best Company Car in the Middle class/import in Germany. ŠKODA Octavia became the best car of the year in the 2008 Auto Express Driver Power competition. Readers of the Auto Bild Allrad magazine elected ŠKODA Octavia 4x4 to the best four-wheel drive car. In China, SVW Octavia won the Car of the year 2008 organised by SAE China ans Sina Auto News.

Awards for the Fabia in 2008

ŠKODA Fabia won the Mini and Medium class and the best value for money category of the Car of the Year 2008 in Ukraine. It became the Compact Car of the Year 2008 organised by the ANWB magazine in Netherland. The “Baking of” TV commercial won the Cannes Gold Lion. The Fabia obtained also the Red dot design award 2008.

Auto Trophy 2008

ŠKODA Auto succeeded at the Auto Trophy 2008 competition organised by the Auto Zeitung, German motoring magazine. ŠKODA Roomster won the MultiVan/import category, the Octavia limousine won the Compact class/import category and the Superb won the Upper class/import. ŠKODA Fabia was the best in the category of low-cost cars.

Awards for the ŠKODA AUTO company in 2008

ŠKODA AUTO won the automakers category of the Rhodos Company Image Award 2008. ŠKODA ranks highest in India Sales Satisfaction Study of the J.D. Power Asia Pacific Award 2008 for a second consecutive year. Readers of the Swiss magazine Auto-illustrierte voted the car of the year, ŠKODA won the value for money category for the eighth consecutive year. In Russland, ŠKODA AUTO became the Golden Brand of the Year 2008 and for its ŠKODA Superb also the Bronze Brand of the Year.
