Škoda Auto is implementing long-term programs to minimise the consequences of its activities on the environment. One of the priorities is to maintain a balance between economic, environmental and social aspects; such balance is a fundamental condition for sustainable development.
Environmentally-friendly car production
The target of Škoda Auto is to offer world-class automobiles produced with minimum burden to our environment. Despite the fact that Škoda Auto, has increased production threefold in the last 18 years the impact of this growth has had virtually zero impact on the environment. In fact in some cases, such as water consumption and emissions there has been a decline.

These remarkable achievements have been attained by investing three hundred and fifty million euro to modernise energy sources, construct the latest body paint shops and create waste water recycling plants as well as maximizing energy-saving measures.


Škoda Auto is proactive rather than reactive when it comes to the environment. Not only do we comply with environmental laws, but do so in advance of legislative deadlines.
