ŠKODA Octavia. The Cleverest Choice for 2012.

Two million Octavia customers worldwide have been attracted by the exciting design, advanced technology, abundant room for passengers and luggage alike and of course ŠKODA’s excellent value for money.

Over 32,000 people have enjoyed these benefits since the Octavia debuted in Ireland back in 1998.

The design of the new car with its timeless elegance resembles that of the outgoing model but with a little more dynamism and charm added to the front and the rear of the vehicle. Results are evident with a more sophisticated and modern appearance.

Perfect fusion of technology and design

The new features and layout of the interior emphasise even more the feeling of comfort and safety. The Octavia now offers a completely new generation of three and four-spoke steering wheels as well as new radio sound systems.

The instrument panel demonstrates elegant well organised design with soft touch-friendly surfaces. White LED illumination provides an elegant contrast against the black instrument panel while the traditional green under-lighting of the rest of the electronic components is distinctively ŠKODA.

The new materials and colours of the seats and the lining of the door panels correspond to the most modern trends, as do the new decors of the instrument panel for each trim level.

Advanced technology

The new Octavia is equipped with the most advanced motor technology found in modern cars today. The new Octavia is available with five petrol and four Diesel engines and a range of manual and automatic gearboxes.

This includes a revolutionary 7-speed DSG  automatic transmission specially developed for our new 1.2 TSI, 1.4 TSI and 1.8 TSI petrol engines.

The new Octavia has a broad range of engines with various outputs in both petrol and Diesel. Petrol engines range from the incredible 1.2 TSI/77 kW (105 bhp) with Band-B emission status to the most powerful 2.0 TSI with an output of 147 kW (200 bhp). The Octavia’s Diesel offering includes the choice of four turbo charged engines including the new 1.6 TDI CR with Band-A CO2 emissions and an output of 77kW (105 bhp)  while at the other end of the scale we have a 2.0TDI with an output of 125 kW (170 bhp) found in the Octavia RS.
