Thanks to the patented construction of TwinDoor the new Škoda Superb combines the practical advantages of a liftback (hatchback) with the elegance of a traditional saloon. Our individual approach to design has made the new Superb both a fascinating and unique vehicle. The spaciousness of the interior and the materials used increase the extraordinary level of comfort during a trip.

The Superb arrives with several new features never seen before on Škoda vehicles. For example a driver’s knee and rear side airbags (up to 9 airbags), parking assistant for parallel parking and Bi-Xenon headlamps with AFS (Adaptive Front Light System) are now offered in the Superb range. New engines like the 1.8 TSI/118kW coupled to a 7 speed automatic DSG transmission and the incredible 1.4TSI producing an astonishing 92kW (125bhp) are now in our model line-up.

When it comes to interiors the Superb offers you a choice of colours and materials. The Emory interior combines several materials in ivory or satin black (fabric, leather and synthetic leather). This is an optional fitting for the Elegance version and Emory in Satin Black is optional for the Ambition model. The dashboard comes in a two-colour design (black / ivory) in the light interior.

The Twindoor system

The TwinDoor is a unique system of opening the rear boot (fifth) door in two different ways depending on your luggage circumstances. This is an original technical design unique to Škoda.  If you wish to place smaller items in the boot, simply open the boot as you would on a classic saloon type vehicle.

Larger bulky loads would normally pose a problem to regular saloon cars, this is not a  problem for the new Superb thanks to the TwinDoor system. You can open the rear boot including the rear window, as you would with a liftback or hatchback vehicle. You thus acquire comfortable access to the luggage space, the volume of which can be increased from 565 to an imposing 1,670 litres by tilting the backrest of the rear seats.

The new Superb also assists you closing the boot door. It is enough to let the lid lightly close. It is then automatically locked by electric motors.

Bi-Xenon headlamps with AFS

The headlamps of the new model Superb are an unusual shape compared to other models in the Škoda range, the profile of the lens sweeps all the way to the side of the vehicle. They form a powerfully dominant aggressive feature of the car.
Bi-Xenon headlamps (available on Elegance version) feature outstanding illumination and, combined with the new AFS (Adaptive Frontlight System), increase road visibility and safety. They automatically adapt the lighting to various travel situations by swiveling into bends and changing the illuminated surface of the road depending on cornering and for city, motorway or rain conditions.

The “tourist light” function is used by drivers traveling to the continent. Under normal circumstances vehicle lighting requires modification to cope with driving on the opposite side of the road. This is now controlled by the driver form the vehicle so physical modifications are now a thing of the past.
